IS OUR CURRENT EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM A MAJOR CONTRIBUTOR TO GRADUATE UNEMPLOYMENT ?

As we expect a lot from the year 2012 .I am tempted to take a critical  look  at the Ghanaian  educational system to ascertain the fact as to if it is helping graduate capable of  capable of working or just  producing a bunch of '' pen pushers''.I was charged to write this blog due to the dynamic nature of our educational system thus the ability of politicians who i call ''politrixsters'' to change  our system to  and fro to suit their whims and caprices.                                                                                                                                                                        
our current educational system is too liberal that  is grammer centered contretratring too much on how to teach student  to speak good english  better than the QUEEN rather then  focusing on   vocational and techenical   training which is a pre - condition for acquiring job in our part of the world.One will argue this point to the gutter by talking of the introducing of Basic Design and Technology to solve this menace. But i must  say with  regret that it is too ''bookish'' that it is only theoritical to allow student learn and pass their exams not giving them the skills needed                                                                                                                                             Another teething problem that has prevented the ghanaian educational system from producing graduate is the kind of problem surrounding the system itself.A system,  slapped with inadequate teaching staff ,inadquate classroom, wrong sudject combinination and inadequate teaching facilities can't produce graduate fit for the job market                                                                                                                                                  All this problems and the like  hinder's the abil;ity of an educational system that look nice on paper to  produce people fit for the job market.Till we take a critical look at our educational system graduate unemployment will not be archived from the history of GHANA.                                                                        HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL MEMBERS OF WRITERS AND DEBATERS   CLUB AND MY COLLEAGUES AT KETA SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL NEWS AGENCY(CURRENT AFFAIRS) AND LIVINGSTONE ATORKEY AT ST PAULS SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL(St PAULS REPORTER)                                                                                                                              

KETA SENIOR HIGH AGAIN !!!!!!!

After a student  of KETA SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL murder an old student  thought the the name of a highly decorated school has been sneared in the mud what will people say when they realized that a female student of one of the best school in the country and the best in the volta region has died again.The death is reported of bernice{surname withheld} a student of 2 home of economics attempted commiting abortion and died in the process.the headmaster of KETA SENIOR  HIGH SCHOOL MR. SEDANU Kwawu made this pronunment during assembly on the 4th of novemeber that the '' said girl attempted aborting a five month old preganancy and that the girl is between the devil and the deep red sea and he prays that the girl recovers''.ALPHA CORNER can say that the girl had already delivered one child in the house before coming to school. MR SEDANU Kwawu said that female student will have to under a pregnancy  test every term in order to prevent this situation from happening .  A statement which i was proud he made.keta senior high .THE head master of ketasco should be praised for the good decisions he has madeb to maintain discipline in the school watch out for an exclusive interview with him

Kuyu Project - Best Digital Literacy Camp

A lot of thanks to the organisers of  the Kuyu  Digital Literacy camp which took place on the campus of Keta Sec. Tech School from Oct 28th - 30th, 2011.

I've really been empowered with all the presentations and hand-on training from Jo Webber, Mac-Jordan and Gameli Adjaho.

My prayer is that it will be replicated in other sister schools in the country and held on a large scale in order for a lot of student to learn.i have learnt alot like on  how to provoke the advantages of social media.And i plan to start a youtube project called DEBATING CYPHER  where i give debaters like me to upload their debating vidoes.

I will begin with WRITERS AND DEBATERS CLUD KETASCO. I will also use the skill I learnt from the camp  to aid in a magazine called ICT POST; so watch out...!!!
